I am an advocate of the German school, following perhaps the greatest classical saxophonist in history, Sigurd M. Raschèr. In my opinion, his methods produce better results, better control, better musicianship, faster and greater than any other method. While most methods teach how to play the saxophone, my focus is on musicianship, using the saxophone as the instrument.
If you have never played the saxophone, I can show you everything from buying and assembling your saxophone to playing your first solo for a live audience!
These lessons build off of the skills acquired in the beginner class. Students develop the ability to make All Region
or become first chair in their school band!
We also learn lots of challenging solo literature.
If you have been playing consistently for over 5 years, I can provide guidance toward a college move or a professional career in music. By this time, students are mostly self-sufficient and able to handle almost anything life throws at them.
